Jonathan’s String Quartet No 2 will be performed at two concerts over the next four days. The Arditti Quartet will play the piece as part of its performance tonight through the Barbara Lee Family Foundation’s partnership with the Institute of Contemporary Art, Boston, MA and at a concert on Wednesday 26th March at the Spaulding Auditorium, Hopkins Center for the Arts in Dartmouth, Hanover, New Hampshire.

Brian Ferneyhough, ‘Dum Transissets I-IV’
Jonathan Harvey, ‘String Quartet No 2’
Joshua Fineberg, ‘La Quintina’
Lachenmann, ‘Grido’
The Dartmouth programme “features three works the quartet has premiered—by Harrison Birtwistle, Jonathan Harvey and Dartmouth music professor Kui Dong—along with Igor Stravinsky’s 3 Pieces (1914) and Elliott Carter’s Elegy (1946).”
The Arditti Quartet will also be involved in a free pre-concert talk at the Hopkins Center for the Arts prior to the performance.
