Jonathan Harvey’s String Quartet no. 3 will be performed by the Quatuor Diotima quartet on the 14th of December as part of the Spitalfields Winter Festival. Sam Hayden, reader in music at Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance and formerly a student of Harvey, will giving the world premiere of his new composition ‘Transience’ at the performance. The program also includes Gérard Pesson’s ‘Bitume’, which will be getting its London premiere, as well as Bartók ‘String Quartet No.4′.
