Jonathan Harvey’s ‘Come, Holy Ghost’ to be Performed at Spitalfields Summer Festival


Jonathan Harvey’s ‘Come, Holy Ghost’ will be performed as part of an evening concert on Friday 20th June 2014 at Christ Church, Spitalfields. The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge are putting on ‘God is gone up: Spitalfields Summer Festival’ conducted by Graham Ross.

The evening will include pieces inspired by the Christian season of Ascension and Pentecost which has “been a wealth of inspiration to composers for centuries. The Choir of Clare College, Cambridge presents a collection of joyous music from mostly British composers across 500 years.” The programme for the performance can be found on the Spitalfields Music website.

The instrumentalists accompanying the choir include:
Organ: Peter Harrison, Matthew Jorysz
Cello: Ben Michaels

Saxophone: Anthony Brown

The concert starts at 7pm at Christ Church, Spitalfields, Commercial Street, London, E1 6LY and tickets are available from the Spitalfields website, priced from £5 – £35.
