Following up her piano recital in Manchester, Eliza McCarthy will be performing Harvey’s ‘Tombeau de Messiaen’ in York on November the 28th. The concert will take place in the Rymer Auditorium at 8.15pm and will be preceded by a performance at the Heslington Church by York University’s vocal ensemble, The 24. Joint tickets are available for both concerts here, and tickets for Eliza’s event only can be found here.
This concert forms the first in York’s contemporary piano series. Alongside Harvey’s work, Eliza will once again be performing George Crumb’s ‘Processional’, Tansy Davis’ ‘Loopholes and Lynchpins’, Luciano Berio’s ‘Encores’ and Joe Cutler’s ‘Buckley’s Hot Licks’ in a concert that “combines the versatility of the piano and theatricality of performance”.
Tickets are £10 and concessionary prices are available.
