Organiser Eamonn Quinn explains how the beginning of the concert offers “an opportunity to play a piece of music I love, Mortuos Plango, Vivos Voco. I do love it. Just the way it starts is incredible.”
Trio Mediaeval, Garth Knox‘s Saltarello Trio and Cliona Doris will perform at the event which features the world premieres of two incredible new works by Pulitzer Prize winner David Lang and renowned composer Betty Olivero centred around the ancient text The Song of Songs or The Song of Solomon.
“The brilliant Norwegian Trio Mediaeval collaborate with Garth Knox’s stunning Saltarello Trio for the first time in Drogheda Louth to perform the new compositions.”
